On October 28, 2010 FVTC will offer a worskhop in Green Bay on "Community & School Partnerships for the Prevention of Homelessness."
Workshop overview:
The face of homelessness has changed dramatically, as have the approaches taken to address the issue. In the past five years, the number of homeless students in Wisconsin has risen nearly 75 percent. Participants will learn from expert researchers, policymakers, and practitioners representing a spectrum of professions. The scope of the problem and issues facing children
and families experiencing poverty will be explored. Course Objective This course will address various topics to help communities implement successful strategies to end homelessnes.
